Thumbs up Very active Phal :)

    hello all

this time I would like to share my joy with you one of my Phals is growing lots of new and healthy roots and even one leave!!! if you would look closely you would notice one "root" on the left.. I think it may be a pedicle, maybe it's going to bloom what do you think? it's very light green like no other roots ..

one thing bothers me about this flower.. leaves seem to be bitten .. I thought that could be bugs, as some of my orchids used to have them..). I treated all the orchids that seemed to have the same problem with Actara... It seems to help..

That is looking great, Jovita! Your bark mix looks really open too. What do you grow your phals in?

    Cheers,

    hi

I grow my Phals in a mixure of large barks and vulcanic rocks. I've read somewhere that is't a good mixture for Phals with thick roots

what a healthy looking plant. it's nice to see the clear pots too.. i've put my phals in the same pots so it is easier to gauge the moisture content in the medium.

so lots of root growth and leaves happening with this plant.. hopefully a spike soon as well.

as for the notches on the leaves... looks like they've been there awhile.. it's now browned off... so i would be thinking mechanical damage rather than a bug chewing it recently.

Great job! I have one phal that is also growing five new roots and a new leaf. It looks a lot like yours.

Jovi--it looks happy. The "bite" is probably just damage where the leaf got bumped.

yes, it looks happy and I hope it's already growing a spike on the left side of the stem but the notches on the leaves are not because of the damage (I think), as it wasn't toutched for a long time and the 'bites" appeared just like that..
