Default My Max. porphyrostele is in bud!

Thanks to the detective work of Anne I found out that the spelling on the tag was incorrect and because of not knowing its spelling I hadnt found any growing instructions, so it went under my metal halide. It grew a new pseudobulb this spring which I was very happy about and now it appears to have 3 lovely buds on, they remind me of dinosaur eggs Okay so I have a wild imagination, I cant wait for this guy to flower, it will be the first Max. I have had flower for me. Please everyone keep everything crossed that they dont blast.

Carrie, they look so wonderfully healthy and happy!! And I was glad to help solve the mystery, because I was curious about her too.

Thanks Anne, I think she is a darling little thing and I am sure I will love the blooms. She has one old pbulb that is a sandy yellow colour which bothers me a little, it is leafless so I am hoping this is just the way the old ones go eventually. I spray the top of her medium ( which I think is coconut husk most days. she hasnt had an awful lot of feed, purely because my memory is lacking other than that one pbulb she seems content.

Thank you MtEquine, I cant be sure its due to my growing yet as I have only had it 4 months, but I will be happy to see it bloom regardless of who got it there LOL and I will definately post photos of when it blooms, I keep looking it at seeing for progress but you know what they say, a watched pot never boils LOL I will be looking for advice on how its potted as well as she is climbing out of her pot with the new growth and the roots are a little exposed she is in a 4 inch pot which seems big for her hence me spraying rather than watering too often, I am not that sure how to water in coconut husk, either way she seems ok just now.
