    Talking Oh the temptation!

Okay, so I was walking into a big box store just to get some shade cloth. Very innocent right? And what happens...suddenly right in front of me was a large 3 tiered rack of brand new orchids being wheeled inside. Was it fate? I don't know...all I do know is I immediately asked the employee if he could open the boxes checked "cattleya" and "mixed" and was pleasantly surprised. All of the plants were super healthy and there were so many to choose from.

So I ended up with these guys who are all now repotted...

This one is a bit of a mix up...the big tag said Encyclia Rufa but the pot tag was completely different:

Enc. Rufa? or Blc. Tzeng-Wen Beauty x Slc. Red Jewel 'B#10'

Epi. Rene Marques x psuedoepidendrum 'Hawaii'

    Lc. Sagarik Wax 'Silk Ball'

    Pot. Michael Edward Boersma 'Caramel'

Now that is LUCK! Nice selections. They look so healthy. WOW.

BTW - I would guess that the first one is enc. rufa from the look of the p-bulbs and plant, but that is just a guess until it blooms.

    Cheers,
    BD

I agree with you about the rufa. The plant looks like an encyclia or at least a hybrid. Whatever it is, I want it! LOL

I sure don't. Couldn't find any images online either. If it ever blooms for me though I will make sure to post some pics.

Oh no...I haven't done that before. That takes a level of expertise that I don't have. I mostly buy blooming size plants...sometimes seedlings.

I am sure the plants would be happy if you did. Another rescuer would make them very happy!
