Thumbs up My New Vanda 'Plum Delicious'

I have a spot for an orchid that takes blazing sunlight year round and was reccommended this plant by the grower. It's a quarter-terete Vanda and has to be about 2 feet in length!!!

So here he is:

V. Chao Praya Delight 'Plum Delicious' (Mamo X Somjit)

The picture of the bloom is from the vendor. Also, the blooms are said to be fragrant so I hope it blooms this year!

So excited!

Shann~

Did it occur to you that if you attach a wooden dowel to the bottom of your vanda, and put a large downward pointing isosceles triangle to the bottom of the dowel, it would look like a giant arrow with the vanda as the fletching? I know, I'm strange sometimes

LOL...you are so right.

I searched it over for bloom spikes but don't see any new ones starting. Hopefully in spring!! Until now I limited the orchids I had by how much covered area there was so they wouldn't burn...but with these Vanda's that can take the full sun...watch out!! Pretty soon the entire outside of my tiny porch will have hangers with orchids everywhere!

Glad you all enjoyed seeing it!
