    Talking My tiny surprise.

And when I say tiny, I mean it! My cat knocked over one of my newer babies, and it was practically unpoted so I decided to go ahead and repot it. As I was pulling old medium loose, this little guy just kinda fell off. I have no idea where it was hiding, because I didn't see it at all when I was inspecting the plant. I have no idea how to care for such a tiny seeding, but I looked at a couple orchid articles and ended up putting him in a small 1.5" clay pot with holes chipped in the bottom with a large layer of syrofoam, then a layer bark and a top layer of sphag (the pot is a little tall). He is wrapped loosely with some garden wire to stake him up. Any other suggestions about caring for my tiny surprise?

He looks like a little cattleya type? If so, remember he will need bright light and will not want to stay too wet for long.

    Cheers,

Yes, if he is a sibling of the one he came out of, it should be a Blc. Burdekin Wonder 'Lake Lan'
Do you think I should remove a little sphag and just have a light layer?

No, he looks good as is. I would pot him the same way. Be sure to make a tag for him.

    Cheers,

Looks like you did everything right.
Just make you have good air circulation, seedlings are very susceptible to fungas and rot.
    Good luck.
