    Default Lc. Tiberta

I went back and bought one more of the overgrown Cattleyas...I had thought this was a Portia, but it's turned out to be a Lc. Tiberta. I cannot find any information on it as it's an old cross (i'm told). One of these days i'm going to have to invest in the OrchidWiz program or something...does anyone know about this one?
Anyways...here's the monster. Yes that is in two pots, the largest pot is about 12 inches across. My husband had to carry it...it weighs a ton. There are about 30 viable pbulbs in there. I just was so impressed with how tall this thing is. And the fact that it has been so abused and yet grows still...with a couple sheaths.

I'm going to so enjoy repotting this poor thing into some nice fresh bark...

Wow! You sure do like a challenge. I've never seen one orchid in two pots before!

Your new addition is a cross of Cattlianthe Ibbi and Cattleya Bertii that was registered in 1938.

I love the second pic. I would also love to be shopping where you are. Enjoy the repotting, can't wait to see it flower and see what it looks like when it has had your TLC.

I had given a couple pieces away. My last piece flew away in the tornado. Sigh... At least I know where to find another one. I think I'll wait until my birthday and go get one that has the sheath set. Then sit and wait for it to bloom for Christmas. I am still finding what is missing and damaged.
