Mine is bursting out of a 14" pot. The main plant is about 18" wide, and total diameter including foliage is nearly 36". It has hundreds of p-bulbs and is HUGE. And it blooms faithfully every spring with hundreds of blooms. Based on that, I don't think you should divide it! I occasionally take small divisions that are about to fall off, and that's it!

I grow mine cool in winter and water it once a week. I have it in my basement next to sliding doors that face direcr East. I just noticed today that buds are starting to develope. Yours is a lovely plant and a larger than mine.

How cool are you talking Bill? I wanted to give it a nice dose of chill but was a little afraid to do so.

This winter my basement has averaged 55 at night and low 60's during day. It dropped to low 50 a couple nights. Everything seems to be doing well. Have noticed lots of new growth on oncidiums and some on catts and of course buds are slower to develope.
