    Default My Vanda seedlings

I've got two new seedlings. One is a Vanda and the other one is a Ascocenda. The Vanda i've got for about two weeks and the Ascda. for about one week. The Vanda is named V. Wirat x V. Madame Rattana, and The Ascocenda is Ascda. Fuchs Sunglow Orange. The Vanda is doing fine so far. It's growing new roots and i's getting a new leave. The other one is to early to tell.

No these are not the ones my mom got me. She is still not home from Thailand. So that one I'm still expecting. These I did by myself from a vendor on the internet. It would be great if they can bloom in about 2 years. I did post some pics so that you can see what should look like.

They both look healthy. Though I have other kinds of orchids, I can honestly say that I always come back to Vanda's. The blooms can be spectacular, so I certainly understand why you choose to raise them Willeke. AL

Yes Vanda and Ascda. are certainly spectacular. I hope it will not take to long before they bloom. But even so it's just fun to see them grow. To now that you raised them yourself.

I am going to the U. S. Post Office right now to pick up my 'in spike' Aerides Houlletiana from Florida! Willeke, you are definitely right about raising them and watching them grow under your care and patience. I know you will really be excited when they do bloom for you! AL

If i'm not mistaken that's also a Vandaceous type. Is that right. Can you post a pic when you got it. Tes it's fun to raise them. Hopefully it will not take to long before it blooms. I'm not sure how old they are.
