epidendrum conundrum?

    Default epidendrum conundrum?

    so my dealer knows im a junkie and he just kept pointing at bits and bobs he had laying around for cheap...buttons really...so i came home with, well, stuff... and i picked this epidendrum up but aint got a clue what this could potentially look like... can one of yall really wonderful people use your immense knowledge to point me in the right direction? i aint askin for a name or nothin, but a general group would be lovely!!
    thanks, yall are the best!! ;-)

    oh, and im hella excited about the little bugger at the top of the photo...ive been searching high and low and finally found somebody selling little pots...dendrobium spectable..cant wait for it to grow up!!!

    Actually looks like it could be Encyclia or Prosthechea, not the former Epidendrum. Anyway, good luck! hope it grows well for you

    ya, im thinking encyclia...it will be a fun wait and see for the flowers!!! thanks for the post!

    Cool. Not sure what it will be until you bloom it, but would agree that it is probably an Encyclia orchid.

    Nice fat psuedobulbs there!

    Hope the den does well for you. I love the flowers of spectabile but the plant gets WAAAAAAY too big for me.
