    Orchid growing = surprises + patience. Maybe the little side wanted to out-do the taller orchid cane??

    Patience? I know, these plants can teach a person patience. Waiting for buds to open is completely nuts sometimes. lol And I don't know about the little stubby thing wanting to bloom like this. The big cane is going to really have to put on a show to save face, eh?!
