Fantastic looking plant. Great growing. Hard to tell if that is a spike or leaf. Lets definately hope for it being a spike. I LOVE SPIKES! I am finding many of my autumn blooming orchids are spiking/blooming early this year. Strange weather. Look forward to seeing pics of a beautiful bloom on your plant soon.

I am surprised your stonei matured a whole growth in 8 months? Usually stonei is one of the slower growing multifloras and takes about 2 years to mature a new growth. Is your plant multigrowth and do you mean 8 months from the previous blooming from another growth?

Yes it's multigrowth, with 4 mature growths and 2 more newer growths. The 8 months refer to the sheath. I bought this stonei with 1 mature growth and one keiki about 2 1/2 years ago. It's very robust in growth but takes along time between the sheath stage and blooming.

BTW I'm posting a picture showing the new 4inch sheath on the fan in the background and another 1 inch sheath on the fan just in front of it. My other polyanthas are also robust growers except for sanderianum.
