    Default Phal. bellina

I'm doing a little happy dance on the back patio. I've mentioned often I am a notorious phal killer. The bellina I bought has grown a new leaf and has two spikes. I still want to move it over to a mount...but I should wait, right??

Wait dont move yet, you need to enjoy the bloom first, keep there since they are happy and producing new leaf I do believe they already adapted very well in your garden, keep observing and this is the time for you to learn from previous mistake. Anyway good luck for the 2 new spikes.

Naoki, Martha and Zain...3 of my favorite people

Thanks for the advice. I'm so excited about the darn plant. You would think this was my first orchid. I'm honestly, trying to neglect it a little. I know it likes drier conditions. It is finally putting out a few new roots, too.

I guess you got the opinions by now, Cathy. I'd surely wait until after the blooms. Enjoy 'em, you'll have lots of time to mount it. I have a seedling bellina that wasn't thriving and I mounted it almost a month ago and its grown 2 new leaves and just looks healthier. I do believe that Phals, especially the species do better mounted.
    Good Growing,

Ooooh! I have seen pics of a phal. bellina & how I'd love to have one of those! Please do post a picture when it blooms! I'm excited also because my NOID rescue phal has just started showing that little 'glove' just above the bottom leaf. Can't wait to see what color the flowers are! And I'll definitely be posting a pic so maybe someone can ID it for me. Good luck with your's - bellina is such a beautiful flower!!

Good choice Cathy when you got this Phalaenopsis bellina. In terms of moving it I would hang a little "Do not disturb" sign on it until after it blooms it's little head off. AL
