Had to cut the pot away to free this very root-bound monster to mount it on top of a tree. this is a local epiphytic species with succulent leaves and long pendent inflorescences. pot diameter is about 8-9 inches for size reference. this one has pretty short leaves. Some clones of finlaysonianum have very large leafspans spanning 1 meter or more.
That is huge! What a great orchid. I look forward to seeing the bloom photos and photos of the plant after it establishes itself to its new post.
