The plant is getting close to blooming. The nectary on this flower is the longest I've seen so far!

Recently repotted into a 10" terra cotta pot with LECA. Usually water from bottom. Hope it likes the new conditions as it came from a small plastic pot filled with bark.

The leaves are fairly ugly and spotted with black. Any ideas what this is? Fungus? The leaves also droop. Despite my poor care it blooms consistently around this time.

If you've just repotted it, i'm amazed it is in bud. These are notorious for shocking after being repotted. The nectary is amazing on them aren't they?! I'm not sure about the black spots...but a few of my vanda get them when their sunlight levels are high.

I will share when it opens.
I do have a small vanilla vine but in the photo is a Hoya ciliata. It is getting quite large so I hope to see some blooms on it as well.

Here are the blooms this year. Only two, I think because it didn't like being repotted but I've checked and it has lots of new root growth. The previous container was TINY and the plant was severely rootbound. Anyone know how big these get or any general culture tips? At night the entire room smells nice!

Looking at the pic my guess is that the black spots are a fungus and should react quickly to a good fungicide. Spray once every 7 days till the new growth is clean of spots and then routinely to keep your plants clean. Vanda's and Dens are notorius for developing these very same spots.
    Good luck.
