Default Paraphal labukenkis - a spike developing

I am so excited to have found this 'bump'. It would probably take at least a month to see the flower buds. It was late 2008, as one of the society members passed away, his entire collection was auctioned out. The plant was already matured enough and had put out the very showy flowers in March 2009. Since then, it tried to re-adjust my growing environment. The longest leaf is now close to 4'

Nice one...now comes the hard "being patient" part. I swear orchids open slower than any other flower! lol

So true, Connie. I hope you don't have to wait 8 months like I had to, for Paph stonei.

I will be talking to it DAILY. My Paph. Fumi's Delight has been in low bud for 4 months. What's wrong with those orchids?

And then there are those who eschew the glory of raising from seedling and bask, rather in the glory of the immediate gratification afforded by buying an orchid in bloom.... (guilty)
