Tom, it is finally showing a sign keiki. It sounds like you have a nice collection of Neos.

Naoki, I have about 16 varieties, most of them are the ones bred in Japan. I just paid a good sum of money for a single growth "manjushage" and I can't wait to see its flower with three spurs...There is nothing wrong to grow the common ones and I still think the best bloomer is the most common variety though.

That's awesome, Tom. I have "Hanakanzashi" and "Nangoku no Mai" on my wish list.

The metal hunger in the picture is from my dad in Japan. When I told my parents that I grew Neos, they were shocked since Neos are still expensive there. LOL

CAthy, its quite hard for us here in Msia to get them to bloom too. The ones directly imported from Japan are definitely a no bloom cos of the heat here but there are some clones which do bloom..Im just hoping mine does bloom..I mounted mine on a small piece of driftwood..Im thinking of remounting/remounding? with spaghum as I think its not getting enough water...

I guess "Neos need winter rest" is true. Since we had such a mild winter, they were kept outside. I started seeing new roots, growths and even spikes already.

I like the mounting job you did Naoki and the multiple mount itself is remarkable. You will now have a 'carousel' of Neofinetia's blooming their little heads off for you. AL

You may call the potting style "mounding" but it isn't "mounting".
