I got my potting supplies in the mail the other day, soaked the heck out of some LECA in KLN solution and repotted two of my phals that were outgrowing their previous s/h pots - the kind with the basket inside the outer pot with the water gauge and everything. I find these containers to be much easier and I *know* the roots won't be sitting in water like they were in the other containers.
I was sad to see that the one on the right had lots of rotted roots when I took it out of the basket. It has so man arial roots that it seemed super healthy. I'm hoping it's happier in it's new home - seems it took too long to dry out in the other container.
So here's they're new home for now, in a south facing window - hoping to get the temp difference they need to spike.
Looking good! Nice orchid repot on those two!
