I wonder if you ever re-potted them? ( I mean re-mounted of course). They look really great. I like how you mounted them. I am afraid I don't have proper materials now. I don't want to use tree fern slabs this time . All what I have now available is this:
may be I should cut it and put two halves together?

Well, I couldn't make an ice cream cone for the leaves are quite flat but I did my best.
    Here is my plant:

Thanks again for your advice. I hope my plant will like it!

Hi Natali, any news about your B. beccarii? I've found 2 of them and don't know if pot or mount them. How is the "ice cream cone" method going?

    Hi,
I am sorry for late response... I did not visit the Forum for awhile.
My plant survived after rot last year but lost two new growths. I thought I lost the plant but it did not die and initiated a new growth recently.
The great news, I bought a mature B. beccarii just two days ago, at the Redland Int. orchid festival. Here is my new plant. As you can see, I am going to use the "ice cream cone" method again. I think it is a great method.

Here are my both B. beccarii

i've never seen anyone grow an orchid like that, so it seems really weird, but probably very natural. it does seem to form a catch basin, that is just amazing.

you like Bulbo phal (macrobulbon)...they look very healthy.
(personnaly i don't like the coconut fiber for mounting orchids. seems to be problematic after a couple years when mixed with sphag. but only my point of vue).
