    In this series to show friends the natural habitat of Catasetum macrocarpum, orchid that is easily found in almost all the trees be in the region that I live, Abaetetuba, Pará, Brazil.

    Oh, you make me jealous - I couldn't ever find this orchid anywhere close to me at any speciality shop, and you have them growing off trees! Thanks for sharing - it's wonderful to see them thriving in their natural environment. Love those roots!

    i love the pic three, full of vigor. 'Easily found'? .......wish it could be the same here. i got one labelled as macrocarpum, started to give out a spike after a year plus, hopefully it is a macrocarpum. been searching high and low for this one.

    Thanks Patty, you really have orchids that are more conducive in certain places, we have some privileges, but many here do not value.
