Default Cattleya C.G. Roebling 'Blue Magic' x C. lueddemanniana var. coerulea - not good?

I've been waiting anxiously for this C.G. Roebling cross to split the sheath, and now that it has, I'm worried about how these buds are progressing. The rest of the plant seems really healthy. It HAS been in high humidity and a little rainfall lately, but it's outside under the balcony roof, in indirect light and lots of air, so I don't know what might be wrong with it. Do the buds look okay to you cattleya experts? Is there anything I should do?

    Thanks.

I agree with Yew Sung, they look OK but it would be better to have a closer look.

I think you have some kind of coloring artifact from the yellow light used for the photography. They seem to holding up nicely so must be firm. If the color is not yellow as it seems in this picture, then I would not be worried and let nature take its course. Avoid getting the buds wet.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. By the way, this cross has been known as C. Mary Crowe since 1928 - I've no idea why the nursery tagged it with the parents only.

Actually, Amey, the buds WERE yellowing the day before yesterday, but I've had it inside for about 36 hours and the yellow has toned down. It's the fact that they aren't really swelling that worries me. I think they've been out of the sheath for about a week and haven't changed much, except for lengthening out. It's back outside in bright shade again.

Strange, but I shot those first photos with my Nikon D80, and these are with my new G11 - I think these are better shots, but I just can't judge anymore.

Believe it or not, Phillip decided HE needed a G11 after I got mine, so now the 2 of us are training on it, and spending a ridiculous amount of time comparing it to our DSLRs. Yes, we're certifiable....

It looks good Maura !! Do not worry they have a lot to grow. Sometimes the plant is named as the cross because its a remake using very different parents, so that you can may be differentiate between the original and the remakes, just a thought, I do not know if it is true

Oh, thank you, Amey!!! I'm so relieved, since I'm really looking forward to the blooms. I'm really hoping for some blue colors and some fragrance.
