    Cool Fuzzy's new spike

Yes I call one of my paph's 'fuzzy'. For some reason fuzzy has survived my care. It is the first of it's kind to live more than a month or two before dying in gross, ugly ways. lol I love it's fuzzy little self. Today it suprised me with a new spike from a fan that I actually grew. Here is the cute fuzzy baby spike...

Moving plants around is always a day of discovery...and yes this was another happy dance moment.

How cool, can't wait to see fuzzy when its flower is open. I managed to keep some paphs alive but I haven't figured out how to get them to flower, do you have any cultural tip that could help me?

I'm not sure you want cultural info from me..lol. But since you ask...with that particular plant, i've begun treating it like it is one of my cattleya. It gets watered when it's dry, (when I notice), it gets sprayed with anti-fungal, bug spray and fertilizer when the catts do, and it gets a ton more sun than I would normally let a plant of this type have. Basically, benign neglect, lots of sun and spray it alot for bugs and rot. Other than that, all my plants get very high air movement most of the time(when I can keep Ron from turning my fans off). Now keep in mind my location too... I live in an area that is like nirvana for orchids. I'm close to the coast,so we almost always have high humidity and a constant breeze. This time of year I have to water almost every other day (when they are out of the greenhouse), even my catt's. The wind dries them out too fast. I hope this helps you. I'm not known for keeping these one's alive...although this one is making me want to try a couple more that don't mind my heat.

OH congrats on your new arrival! But you have scared the day lights out of me! I just got a Paph from my society Feb 14th, in bud...It has not opened. I wrote the grower in Hawaii if the had a picture of the blossum. they said no, they hadn't seen it bloom yet, and for me to be patient! I'm hovering over it like a hen.

HI ‘Cjcorner’. Congratulation for the oncoming orchids, which I am sure, would be lovely. Could you upload some images after blooming?
