This is the bud. It's precious)) I bought this Cattleya Orchid a year ago and now it re-blooms. AWESOME... can't wait to see the flowers.
About 25 years ago I was excited to see my first bud! I have a bud on an orchid that has not bloomed before and I am just excited as I was years ago. I hope your orchids provide you with joy and excitement for years to come.
The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated.
There's nothing quite as exciting as watching the first bud on an orchid begin to swell - oh, the anticipation! If it's going to be a large, heavy bloom, you might want to look into the best way to support it so that the head is facing upright. But, PLEASE, don't break the spike while you're doing it - I've had a few much-anticipated buds fall prey to my clumsy hands.
