Its a taxonomists delight, and an orchidists nightmare ! C aurantiaca , now Guaranthe ( and I'm not even sure how to spell that, at this time of night/morning - 3am - wide awake, worrying whether my next and 4th operation on one eye will be successful on Monday or maybe I shall lose all the sight...). And then C.milleri - aka Laelia milleri. Finally, Epi. cordigerum, no doubt Encyclia of the same specificity. Kew will tell you its an Enanthleya. Not many people know that ... ah well, it took my miond off myself for ten minutes, working that out.

I have to tell you that it took far more than 10 minutes of intense distraction to go through all the nonsense surrounding essentially a a cattleya/encyclia hybrid with the supremely undignified grex name of Charlie Brown. Enanthleya - just doesn't have much of a ring to it. Sending prayers and good wishes your way for Monday. If anyone can see it through with strength and grace, to would be you, Geoff.

By the way, I am finally posting some shots of this mongrel orchid in bloom.
