Default Orchid going to bloom in my garden

    Hi orchid lovers,

This is the picture of my not yet known orchid that I got from my friend three months ago. I think it is the native Thailand orchid. After one month sitting under the shade with high humidity in my garden, it grew two spikes. I thought they were the roots, but a month later i was convinced that they were flower spikes. Now they are reaching the maturity with buds ready to reveal the flower inside them. Then the mystery orchid is solved.

Next is my Vanda limbata. Judging from the roots, this plant is very healthy now. When i brought home this Vanda, the high heat of my city somehow stressed the plants, as the result, most of the roots dried out. High rain, cool breeze, and cloudy sky revive the roots. Many bumps grow from the trunk. I notice this morning that some bumps become the roots, yet some other are unknown. I hope they are flower spikes. Since this Vanda is my very first encounter with this species, I hope some expert members can enlighten me.

The first picture is still a mysterious orchid plant.

The last two pictures are Vanda limbata from Flores, an island in the East of Indonesia.

For five days, i have occupied my time with the sick orchids I got from the exhibition. I try my best to revive them. Lucky, the weather was very cooperative, it was raining for 3 days. The water from heaven, thats what I call it, revived many of the orchids. Today, I started to repot and reorganize the orchids, and I found two of my orchids are creating flower buds. A kind of a "hey we are here, don't forget us" sign.

This is my dendrobium capra, always blooming in June and July, befiore the temperature goes up.
