Oh I surely do hope you have awesome blue flowers!!! Had a friend that bought an blue orchid, and the following year when it re-flowered pure white blossoms, the cheaters used flower dye to make them blue talk about a disgusting way to cheat a nice blue color. In hind sight I should have noticed that the super deep blue was probably fake, but at least I did learn something about orchids, and that was watch out for blossom colors that don't quite seem naturally possible, like a super deep blue. Here is a snap shot of the similar ones from the store.

Oh my that is awful! Also that looks like a Phalaenopsis, and I believe it is virtually impossible to get a true blue Phalaenopsis, although some of the violacea varieties are close..
Thank you, it is a Vanda so it should turn true blue.

yeah that was the only pic I could find of the color, but it don't remember for sure what the species of her orchid was for sure as that was a few years ago now. But I would have to agree that I have yet to see a true orchid that is a true blue. But I have seen a Vanda or two that have been lighter shades of blue, so I am definitely in the line of anxious to see how it turns out for you.

Hi, not yet, the bud is still developing; probably another 2 weeks + to go.
