I've taken her in now (and the rest of my vandas and some other plants). The rest are in a mini green house outside still.
The spike is growing. You can see it already peep out between the leaves. I hope it continues to develop.

It looks as if one of the buds is blasting. I hope it will only happen to this one.

Only three blooms survived, but being my first blooming of a Vanda in far from optimum conditions, I'm still satisfied. I hope I'll get a better bloom count when (if) it flowers again in spring-summer.

Nice looking Yellow Vanda. Sure it would surprise you with more flowers next time.

This same Vanda is putting out a new spike again. I'm so happy.

I discovered it yesterday while watering. Last week I peeped between the leaves and there was nothing yet. I hope I'll get more blooms though than the last time.

Congrats! It always feels good when goals are met and a 1st time response happens. As a relatively new grower myself, I have them regularly right now.
