Default Epidendrum keiki what to do

When I received my epidendrum from the mail I accidentally broke the tallest stem off the plant. Instead of throwing the stem away I decided to leave it alone and see what would happen. In a few weeks I saw a growth. So I wrapped it in sphagnum and now this is what I have. How do I transplant the new growth?Name: IMG_1716.jpg

i would let it get a little stronger, if possible before removing and potting up. the roots are good, but the plant is still really small. once it has 4 or 5 leaves you can gently detach it and pot it like normal, some people use potting soil, some use bark mixes. for now though, mist the roots in the mornings. the main stem if you pot that up may also develop roots and make a new plant as well.

Main plant may not make it. Starting to shrivel despite potting in sphagnum and orchiata.

that happens sometimes. but with epis, if the stem is still alive, there is hope.

concur with coeruleo. epi's are quite hardy and multiply quite fast
