Default Pot. (Morning Call - Chianhao Beauty) "Little Sweetheart"

I've had quite a number of problems getting this plant to re-flower after buying it a few years ago while it was in bloom. The plant just produced a new PB with a sheath and I was excited that it might flower. However, the sheath has now turned black ... is this due to too much or too little water? Any advice?

I find Potinara very difficult to bloom in our hot tropics here. Sheath and buds that started during the cooler season tend to abort during the hotter months.

Thanks for your observation, Yew-Sung... that's interesting to know because during the cooler months, it had a bud that suddenly shrivelled up and I couldn't figure out why... I thought it was too dry. When I saw the new sheath, I was quite excited but it barely appeared and then turned black. Not a very good photo but here it is -

Probably the heat then as I just moved it to a sunnier spot... I will try moving it back to a shadier location and see if that helps!
