Nice healthy looking plant, I like the idea of mounting my orchids I have done that about two years ago and my cattleya love it, I have done that with my phals too and they have been blooming since December last year, this is one photo this orchid has given me some long lasting blooms since I mounted it and also the fragrance was very nice could not pinpoint what though

Your bloom looks really nice. Do you like the smell? Our walkeriana was in our study and bloomed last year. I got really dizzy with the fragrance and my hubby had to move it to our basement!

Here's 2 photos of our Cattleya walkeriana and we are waiting for all the blooms to open now. There will be 6 this year. They do well mounted too. Good luck and what a find you made in Lowe's!

I went off-piste in the Sanyung Dragon thread and posted my mounted semi-alba. It had been mounted 2 years ago as a NOID division, and yesterday Li from Malasia finally ID'd it for me!!! She has had 4 spikes this fall and is about to open 2 more flowers. I absolutely love the perfume and her delicate growth. Isn't this forum amazing?

Looks beautiful! Ours are opening more and the smell is VERY strong. Unfortunately, I don't like the smell too much...glad you like it.

Well it's mounted on a fiber stick that hangs in the lanai, so the perfume is diffused. I can imagine that inside a house it might be a little overpowering. Funnily enough, I went to a (different) big box today and there was another in full bloom! I had to have it, of course, even though it cost far more than my $3 division from my local grower 2 years ago. My bad, I know. Should support the local growers.
