Oh that's so cool. I am so jealous! Suppose it would work with a Ponderosa pine? :-)

Mehera it would work on a pondersoa pine.We have a pine that is grown commerically for timber and it is breed from that pine, and orchids grow on them very well.I have attached oncidiums and cats.

    I am enveous of you.

Well that's one of the darnedest things I've heard! LOL Are you serious? Well your climate must be VERY different from mine if orchids can thrive on your pine trees. Chuckling! In fact, I was thinking of a tongue-in-cheek series of paintings featuring orchids. One of them was going to be "Colorado Orchids", with orchids draping off of pine and aspen trees and mountains in the background. But it stole my thunder when I visited the only Colorado orchid nursery I know of and they had a bunch of orchids mounted on a ceiling high aspen trunk. Of course, theirs was inside the greenhouse!
