Eeks! I did a search, and am turning up that it is a commonly misspelled epithet... the correct name is Ornithochilus fascus...

The picture you provided looks like a typical bloom of Ornithochilus difformis...

Really? Hmm, that's what mine is labeled as. Come to think of it I think just about all the references I've seen pertaining to it have "fuscus" as the spelling.

I am curious as to what the physical differences are between the two species. [Btw, for those not familiar w/ them, the genus Ornithochilus only contains two species] Pictures of the two species that I've seen via Google don't seem all that different.

Mine is currently in bloom. I'll try and get a pic or two this weekend.

Out of curiousity, Pat, did/do you own one? No one in my old os had ever heard of it before. I had thanks to having read a book by Rebecca Northern about miniature orchids.

Hmm... ok, here is what I got; IPNI lists it as Ornithochilus fascus, while Kew lists it as Ornithochilus fuscus (nom. inval.; or 'invalid name'). On Kew, it reads the accepted name for 'Ornithochilus fuscus' as Ornithochilus difformis var. difformis (which really translates to Ornithochilus difformis)... All of that was confusing!

I had one a couple years ago from a show, and it died It never bloomed, but I sure loved the flowers of the "display plant" the vendor had! I bought it as Orni. difformis... I think it got crown rot of some sort.
