I got one in May and it bloomed all of the summer - it finally dropped the blooms at the end of August (longest lasting blooms I have ever had!). All the while it has been working on three new growths, which are pretty good-sized now, but not with a bulb yet. So I am keeping my fingers crosses that one of those new growths will one day reward me with a spike.

Any idea on time frame?? Or other tips o-spiked-one?
Hcubed--seriously, you do NOT want milt advice from me. The only real difference this time around is that I have it near some humidity trays--which are being used by some oncids and now the vandas. Otherwise, I have neglected it. Okay, so I do water it along with my seedlings every couple of days when it looks dry.

It was in bloom when I got it. I'd say it bloomed for about 3 weeks or so beginning in March.

Gin -- it is a beautiful red with a white waterfall. It is a noid--because I can't afford to keep killing named crosses.

    Default Congrats Sadie!

Congrats! Those milts are a pain in the you know what. Once you figure them out...however...they become just another plant in your collection.

    Great job!
