    Default Paph. Iko Iko question

i recently bought this plant at a show and heard that it flowers many times over on the same spike, and not to cut it till it dies. since the spike is now dead, am i correct on this idea, and how long can i expect to wait to see the next spike given conditions are sufficient? it has a newer 'trio' of leaves next to the one with the current spike.

The only Paphs that continue to bloom on the same spike are the sequentially blooming Cochlopetalums. I looked up the parentage on this hybrid and it does not have sequentially blooming parents. Because of this it will bloom once on each spike and growth. To bloom again it needs to mature a new growth/fan, which it sounds like it is working on .
