I have a leve burst that I have had for years. This last year was it's best with 5 multiple spikes and a ton of blooms, lots of new root growth etc. Following advice from a local orchid society person, I replanted after the bloom. My baby is dying now :-( how can I save her? Leaves are turning brown and falling off - roots are shriveling up. Had it in bark - looked bad - replanted to moss, still bad. Help - Striving in Santa Rosa.

Yes, please post pictures of the plant and the affected area in close up. The better the pictures to show the problem, the better the advice that can be given. What someone describes is often different from what the real issue is. Pictures don't miss represent. They document. 700 pixels on the largest side then use the little picture frame icon to access the picture attachment tool.

Also, please start a new thread on yours when you have the picture ready. Some folks don't look at these real old posts and then it becomes harder in the future to find this issue and the diagnosis, recovery regimen and results.

    ---------- Post Merged at 11:00 AM ----------

I am not used to starting a new thread - so am posting here in hopes you can help me. I am attaching a before and after photo to give you some idea what a great little orchid this was. Am heartsick now that she is waning. What did I do wrong? If you would like additional pics please let me know.Name: before.JPG

Hmm, how often do you water it?! In what medium it planted?
Looks like a lot roots groing in air, maybe it did not get enough water and it dries up?!
You said you replanted it, what medeium it was in before and in what you planted it in?

First I had it in bark and I could tell it did not like it. Then I replanted in moss as that is what I remember it coming in. I know the roots are the key and I usually mist it every other day.
