Default What is this black stuff?

I purchased a couple little starter orchids from a garden show a few weeks ago. Not paying attention I bought this Blc. Hawaiian Night Life 'Carmela' and when I got home I realized it had this black stuff on the psuedobublbs and it looks like the new growth has it as well.A few weeks have gone by and it looks a little better but can anyone tell me what this is or what I should do about it. thanks brandan

It looks like tissue damage or rot. This usually happens when the plants are exposed to very cold conditions.
Young plants are more likely to suffer from cold/frost damage compared to mature plants.
