I was telling my husband that I'd noticed the twin company as well. In fact I knew it was him right off because the dolt didn't even try using another system to id plants. He was using the same LetterNumber system. lol Duh.....
I have been giving out the name and number for a local nursery that I have shown pics of on here in the past, under the title the best of the best.
Thanx again for everybody pitching in on this, I just really would hate for anyone else from our group getting stung by this guy. I hate liars and cheaters worse than anything, they should not prosper off of nice people. PM for details.

I have been scouring the other gardening forums to find some more info about this seller.
It appears that veteran online shoppers avoid him entirely, but somehow he still makes big bucks out of first time buyers.
This cannot be good for the orchid hobby. If a large number of first time hobbyists end up buying his plants, they will get the impression that orchids are nearly impossible to grow - when in fact they had bad plants to begin with.
This might steer them away from the hobby instead of encouraging them towards it.
For beginners in the hobby, the first impression can leave a very deep scar and would take a while to recover from.

I totally agree. I've run into alot of people that are like that. They got one, it was too hard because of the kind or it was sick and they gave up thinking they are impossible to grow. If that is true someone should tell the group on my porch!

Awwwwwwwwwwwww, I guess I'm his latest victim. Not a very pleasant experience for a first time purchase. I'd appreciate if you guys can PM me the places or sites where that you trust and get your orchids from.

Thanks,

I personally don't buy off that site since I learned of these scams.
But each time the fake buyer wins an auction, the seller has to pay commission, it will cost the seller a lot of money to get a lot of positive feedback though.

It is a shame there is not some way of getting rid of him from that site , maybe if everyone that was stung by him emailed the place he lists on ? Probably would not help but is a thought . Wish there was a way of posting a very very long list of negatives ..I just looked at his feed back no way should he have that many positives considering what he sends out . Gin

I have had very good luck emailing the auction site and reporting problems. They seem to want to fix most issues ASAP. I would not hesitate to report any unethical behavior. It certainly will make you feel better for reporting it instead of just accepting it and if nothing happens, well, at least you did what you could to help others.

Cheers,
BD

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .
