Default Cold Damage

Well, I blew it! I left the window behind my Blc. Waianae Leopard 'Ching Hua' (which I paid too much for) and my (lc. Carl Bornshine x Blc. Liese Pigors) 'flare' x Blc. Memoria Grant Eichler 'Lenette' HCC/AOS open and of course cold damaged the heck out of both of these plants.

The second was a raffle plant from the local OS meeting recently.
This one has one remaining (mostly) undamaged p-bulb/leaf...and I think it needs to be tossed. Gur.

The other...Has one great healthy looking p-bulb still, and it doesn't look like the new growth got zapped. Has two p-bulbs I took the leaves off of, they were completely done. One with two leaves that may/may not survive, and one with one leaf I took off and one that is so/so. Is it worth it to try and see if this thing survives? Or is one great looking p-pulb just not enough to sustain healthy growth and recovery?

Thanks.

You would be surprised. With warmer weather, I'm sure a few dormant eyes will be activated. Keep it for a couple of months and see what happens....

I agree with Clint, as usual. Give them some time. They can easily put out new eyes on the surviving pbulbs.

They may yet surprise you. As said above, they sometimes put up new growth as the weather warms up and things wake up. At least I hope they will for you.

Cheers,
BD

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .
