    This is too funny!

    I would guess it is a Broadwinged Katydid, from the grasshopper family.
    The eggs are laid in a row along the leaf margin or slightly inserted in the edge of the leaf and are easily identified. This could also explain the holes in the leaf.

    Good bust, Lambert! May not be this particular species but it is certainly something similar.

    Might be leaf hoppers they lay eggs under the tissue on the leaf edges .. Gin
