    Default Rain is thine enemy!

What a mess I woke up to this morning. Evidently it rained so hard last night that all of my orchids summering outside (autumning by this point, but who cares - it's Texas) came unpotted. Technically they were still in their pots, but almost all medium was knocked out and the roots were disturbed (though few broken, thankfully). I put them back nicely and did what I could. Much of a set back, ya think?

Not at all. A few broken roots is not that big of an issue. My outdoor orchids loved the rain yesterday.

They should be ok. No worries.

Yep--that's what would happen to them in their natural habitat. (well minus the pot anyway). Typhoon comes through--and they do just fine.

No set back at all. As a matter of fact sometimes they do even better after an unexpected shakup.

THe same thing happened to me after a storm. Seven of the catts were blown over and out of their pots. Most of them held their bark and i got a good look at the roots. all was well and its been about two weeks and i don't see any worse for wear.
