Thanks everyone for your reply. Just poured some 3% hydrogen peroxide on the plant. Let's wait and see what will happen. Finger crossed. Sigh, it was a beautiful plant...

It has been a couple of hours since I applied HP. It seems to be working a little, at least the plant doesn't seem to get worse. Do I keep using HP? If so, how often do I need to reapply? Thanks! Hope this plant can make it.

A couple of times a day with HP aught to help dry out the rot. Should only need to do this for a few days.

Latest update: the stem broke off today, with the last two leaves. HP did dry out the stem and some aerial roots. But it didn't stop the dying process. I know it's a long shot, but is it possible for the plant to revive with just the root?

others are more experienced than me but i'll tell you that i had one leaf left on a phal that was limp and i thought it wouldn't make it. there were about two good roots left. i threw it in a pot with the intent of tossing it. a few weeks later i found it with a new leaf coming out and some new root growth. today that limp leaf is back to normal and the new leaf continues to grow. its an ugly thing, but i have so much invested in it...its receiving more love these days. i guess what i'm saying i throw out nothing these days. i haven't seen yours, good luck.

Sorry to hear it .. Sometimes a Phal will grow a basal keiki a plant that grows from the base of the old plant I would set it aside and water it when almost dry .. Might work and might not won't hurt to try .. Good Luck with it . Gin

If you ignore my attempt to be clever, you may find the series of articles in #7 useful. There is more there than just encouraging blossoms.
