You have a bit of bud blast. Usually caused by changing the environment of the plant.

    Welcome to the forum!
You have a very healthy orchid there with lots of buds to open. Oh, and your desk is "too clean".

yes, i did move buy the plant recently from a place up north that was much warmer...will this harm my plant more than just losing the buds?

I try not to move them once they start blooming, if the light is lower or brighter, wetter or drier I sometimes lose buds...it shouldn't hurt the plant.

    hi,
have to agree with the others, since i experienced something similar, its probably the relocation, just put it back where it started blooming.
plenty of buds though, healthy plant!

The readjustment to the new location stressed the plant a bit and it abandoned some of the buds, it hasn't hurt anything else of the plant and it should continue to bloom fine where it is now. You might lose another 1 or 2 more buds but there is no lack of them on that beauty you got there so It'll look stunning anyway.

I always have the same problem when buying orchids in bloom since moving them from the purchasing to home here in Canada will guarantee a change in humidity and temperature.

Welcome, Kendal. Glad to see you got so many responses. As Richard said, everything should be fine with the plant now that it is settled. The blasted buds will not open.

    Cheers,
    BD
