Default How to prevent brown stains on orchid leaf

This poor brassia has been through alot at my (well meaning) hands, the latest being these brown stains some of the leaves.

these are leaves that I have already removed, but I would like to know what it is, and how I might avoid this in the future?
    Thank you!

hmmm, maybe overwatering or did you change the location?

a full pix of the plant would help 2, although im not an brassia expert.

    cheers

I did move it to a window recently that got quite a bit more morning sun, and also divided the plant. I've watered once a week since Ive had it and it has been in lava rock and fine fir bark.

I learn something everyday. I think it is when we give up on learning that the world becomes boring. I sure hope we helped you! I look forward to seeing some of your plants in bloom.

    Cheers,
