one of the lower, newer leaves on my catt has recently turned color and has some odd spots on it. What is this? Should I be worried? any suggestions?

Yeah it could well be a virus, but it can also be frost damage followed by spme bacterial infection, how is the texture? Is it wet and mushy or dry and leathery or normal?

simple solution: remove the leaf. You could keep this plant isolated from your other orchids to see if this spreads, but I think it is probably frost damage.

The leaf will probably fall off soon anyway. If it is just on this one leaf, then don't worry too much about it for now. If the entire plant seem to have the same problem, isolate the plant and see how things develop.
Cheers,
