I recently purchased this orchid in full bloom, I've been watering it carefully and giving it orchid food but all the blossoms have closed up! What am I doing wrong?

how frequently do yoy fertilize it, and in what amount, what fertilize did you use?
did you repoted it when you brought the orchid home?
can is it in a clear pot so you can load a picture to see the condition of the roots?
    does it get direct sunlight?

I've fertilized it twice, I water it once a week, I have not repotted it, it gets direct sunlight, I used Shultz Orchid Food. One root sticking out the top is dried up.

your phalanopsis shouldn't get direct sunlight, direct sunlight can cause the leaves to burn and dry the flowers, the flowers are much thiner than the leaves so they are more sensetive to the influence of sun light.
how recently you bought it if it was purchesed a week ago and you fertilized twice, it build up to mach micri and macro elements that can har, the plant.

Since you never know how long an orchid has been in bloom when you buy it, it might have just been time for the blooms to fade. From what I can tell from the photo, the leaves look OK. You probably should repot it anyway though. My phals receive afternoon sunshine through a window with no problems. I have a low fan on them too. You do need to gradually acclimate them to the sun if they aren't used to it.

PS: Did your blooms close up all at once? That could indicate a problem, probably the sunlight. I keep mine a few feet away from the window while they are in bloom. Usually when blooms die off naturally, they don't all go at the same time. At least that has been my experience.

    Default Sick Phalaenopsis

It's in moss. Although all the blossoms are now gone, the leaves look very healthy. How long will it take to bloom again?

Hard to say when it will rebloom. It could send up a new spike within a few weeks, or it may not spike again for a year! I have difficulties with orchids planted in sphagnum moss. I overwater (water too often) and the moss in the center around the root ball does not dry out. I end up with root rot. So before you water, wiggle a finger down through the moss to the center and be sure it is nearly dry before you water.
