    Default Under the leaf

My prob. also was the yellow appearance and light green mottling on the top side of the leaf. Anyhow, surgery has lopped off that side of the rhizome, I also, gave the plant a drink of Epsom Salts, (weakly) maybe whatever is ailing it might pass. haha. You could also try, rubbing some cinnamon on with a damp finger. I think I read that somewhere. Won't hurt anyway.

yes, cinnamon is a natural fungicide and anti-bacterial agent. I rup it on any wounds i make when i divide or clean up the orchids.

Elitebettas----if you are getting the same condition from plants from a particular vendor, i would stop buying, send a sample to get tested, and if it comes ack virus positive, burn the lot and start over. i had to do that with my first cymbidiums, cause there was a virus spread through the countries cym. greenhouses and somehow got to mine.......so i had to burn the lot and buy somemore. that was about 2 1/2 years ago now.

Hi Rosie! I realize this thread is pretty old, but I came across it while trying to determine whether an orchid I recently obtained via mail is diseased or not. Your photos & description are the only ones I have found which match what I am observing in my orchid exactly. So, my question is: what happened to the orchid you posted about? Did it recover? Thanks in advance for your input!
