Question mold on exterior of medium

What is the best treatment for mold growing on a plants medium? I have a stanhopea basket with a bit of mold growing on the exterior and plenty of houseplants with the same on the surface of the soil. I have a fan on the orchids 24/7, but none on the houseplants so it becomes a neverending routine to deal with it. I've tried diluted bleach but it the mold comes back quickly. Listerine? Physan? Daconil?
Thanks in advance...seems I have tons of problems that are new to me since moving across the country.

The bleach solution should do the trick. After killing it off, make sure to keep air moving around and through the plants. Sorry you are having trouble, Jason.

I think anyone one who grows orchids should have Physan 20 on hand. Physan kills on contact, you can use to drench your potting medium and it's relatively harmless.

Jason, I've been using physan 20 and it is the best! It also doesn't hurt, I think, to remove the bit of offending medium it you keep getting mold blooming in the same spots. Maybe a bit more air circulation?
    Good luck with it!
