    Sadie what was the name of the plant, the cross ? I have one that likes to be drier than the rest . Just curious . Gin

    It was -- Phrag Tall Tails which is wallisii x caudatum var. sanderae.

    Gin, what is your plant that likes to be drier?

    I know how it feels to lose an orchid.

    I've seen that rot before--the same light brownish color--it destroyed a growth. What a bummer...losing a plant is much worse. Sorry to hear that, but you can always get another one !

    Thanks for all the sympathy. Fortunately it was just one plant -- and because he was such a small seedling it wasn't that expensive. Although I did buy the flask before this guy croaked, I am consoling myself with the two new compots.

    I will look and post back tomorrow ,it is a caudatum X but don't remeber the rest of the name . It is slow growing , I talked to the grower and this is what she told me . Gin

    I had a Penns Creek Cascade do the same thing recently. Really ticked me off, was growing great, had 3 new growth starting, then bam.

    The slow poke I have is caudatum v. sanderae (Green Goddess X self) thought I was going to have the same problem with it .I don't know a lot about Phrags. might learn the hard way . Gin
