    It probably won't. The bottom roots are as god as dead and the stem will be infected. If you look at the cut surface, the stem inside will be hollow and black, not green as a healthy plant should be.

    Actually paphioboy it was dry dead wood. I am using the wet moss on the roots and it may be a help. Its a bit soon for me to say for sure. Thanks again for you guy's advice. AL
