I hate snails. They can cause so much damage so quickly. There were a couple of big ones on my patio last year. They ate a years worth of growth on some small phalaenopsis before I finally located them. Good luck.

I had a slug encounter just the other day and hope there aren't going to be little slugs in the future. I had purchased a couple of paphs at a local show. I noticed one of them had a slime trail on the moss. I kept an eye on it but didn't see any of the creatures. Then after about a week or so one day I was checking things out and I see the little bugger who has crawled off of the paph and has climbed its way up the water meter on a neighboring phal. I freaked out....felt like it was sitting there .....needless to say I wasn't being very humane when I snatched it up and got rid of it! Hopefully it was too small to reproduce! I WAS gonna take a picture....the way he was up at the top of that meter just hanging out but I just couldn't bring myself to do it

I don't mind Escargot if they are done right. And frog legs aren't bad either. lol When ever we traveled I made it a habit to try "strange" new foods. I've even had pelican down in Mexico...rattlesnake in New Orleans....

Oh no, so sorry Connie. Hate it when snails get into my plants. If I see them, I grab them and take them out and put them way away from the house down by a little pond area. Yucky, slimy things. Guess they are just doing what they are supposed to do, but not to my orchids please!!

    cheers,
    BD
