Default Having Trouble with Phal. Violacea Seedling

I acquired a Phal. Violacea seedling about a month ago. I have no experience caring for seedling orchids of any kind, but I would love to see this little guy eventually bloom. Unfortunately, the plant arrived in the mail in pretty bad shape, roots are shriveled and has already dropped one leaf. The remaining two leaves are a very transparent green. I've had quite a bit of success caring for blooming sized phals and cattelyas, so any tips for keeping a seedling going would be very helpful. Light, watering, feeding, humidity etc... The plant arrived in a 2" plastic pot in a bark substrate, and is currently situated in a shaded southeast window for filtered morning light. Thank you in advance!

Transparent? That sounds odd to me, and I'm not sure what that means. All I can tell you is what I do. I have several seedling phals; they get the same light and feeding as the big guys, and are watered more often...just before they dry out.

    Good luck!

My experience is the same as Kmac with a violacea seedling. I have had similar things happen to other phal species seedlings and I put them in a plastic dome and they seem to be recovering.
